The MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger employs cutting-edge and rapid technology to transform energy from a solar array into energy that efficiently charges battery banks.

The SmartSolar charge controller is capable of recharging a significantly drained battery. It can function with a battery voltage as low as 0 Volts, assuming the cells are not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged.

Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
In cloudy conditions where light intensity fluctuates, an ultra-fast MPPT controller can enhance energy collection by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.

Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection under Partial Shading
When partial shading occurs, multiple maximum power points (MPP) may appear on the power voltage curve. Traditional MPPTs often settle on a nearby MPP, which might not be the best one. The innovative SmartSolar algorithm ensures maximum energy harvest by locking onto the optimal MPP.

Exceptional Conversion Efficiency
No cooling fan required. Efficiency surpasses 98%.

Adaptable Charge Algorithm
Features a fully programmable charge algorithm and eight pre-set options, selectable via a rotary switch (refer to the manual for specifics).

Includes over-temperature protection and power derating at high temperatures, PV short circuit and reverse polarity protection, PV reverse current protection, and more.

Built-in Bluetooth Smart
Offers a wireless setup, monitoring, updating, and synchronization solution for SmartSolar Charge Controllers.

Internal Temperature Sensor and Optional External Battery Sensing via Bluetooth
A Smart Battery Sense, BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor, or SmartShunt can communicate battery voltage, temperature, and current (with a BMV 712 or SmartShunt) to one or more SmartSolar Charge Controllers.

VE.Direct or VE.Can
Provides a wired data connection to a Color Control GX, other GX products, PC, or other devices.

Function for Recovering Fully Discharged Batteries
Will start charging even if the battery is completely discharged to zero volts. It will reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with an integrated disconnect function.

VE.Can: Synchronizing Multiple Controllers
Up to 25 units can be synchronized using VE.Can, and up to 10 units with Bluetooth.

Remote On-Off Capability
Can connect, for example, to a VE.BUS BMS.

Programmable Relay
Can be set to activate on an alarm or other events.

Optional: SmartSolar Plug-in LCD Display
Easily remove the rubber seal protecting the plug on the front of the controller and plug in the display.
