The LCD Voltmeter S measures on-board and starter battery voltage, detecting issues like deep discharges and excessive charging. It displays precise numerical values and a bar display for easy monitoring, with separate settings for 12V and 24V operation.
The precise measurement of the on-board voltage ensures safety. It provides initial information about the battery’s charge level. Harmful deep discharges of the on-board battery are promptly detected and can be rectified by immediate charging. Abnormally strong voltage drops when consumers are in use usually indicate an aging battery. Excessive charging by unregulated chargers or unsuitable charging sources can be detected and avoided.
The LCD Voltmeter S can optionally display the voltages of the on-board battery and the starter battery. The voltages are shown as precise numerical values. The additional bar display spans the range of 10.5 to 15 volts, clearly illustrating the battery voltage from deep discharge to maximum charging voltage. During installation, this function is set to 12V or 24V operation. With 24V operation, the range expands to 21.0 to 30.0 volts. Mixed operation, such as a 24V starter circuit and a 12V supply circuit, is also possible as this setting is separate for each component. The connection is made using screw terminals on the device’s back.
To match the VOTRONIC module system, the LCD voltmeter S aligns optically and mechanically with other display modules (uniform height of 85 mm and low installation depth of 22 mm). The display is backlit in white (switchable) and is highly readable from a distance and in various lighting conditions.
